    • Bamboo Nutrition is not in network with the United Health Care University of Missouri Custom Network Plan.

Please note that if you choose to use insurance you are responsible for calling your insurance company and verifying benefits and eligibility. Bamboo Nutrition will not do this for you. Insurance companies may not always cover nutrition visits so it is important that you obtain all the details from the questions below.

If insurance denies your claim, or no longer provides reimbursement for services, it is the client’s responsibility to pay for the services rendered.

Client Statement

Bamboo Nutrition offers nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy for individuals with eating disorders and chronic disease or GI conditions. Sessions vary between 25-50min. Workshops and groups are offered throughout the year. Bamboo Nutrition operates within the scope of practice of dietetics and nutrition and uses a flexible approach in the outpatient setting. Bamboo Nutrition does not discuss numbers including calories and weight, unless warranted, and practices health at every size (HAES). Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance will require full payment of missed session. If the client is not a good fit for Bamboo Nutrition, we may refer you to another provider we believe to be a better fit in order to best serve you. Before an initial session, the client has the option to schedule a free fifteen-minute phone call to answer all questions openly. Bamboo Nutrition operates confidentially and meets the standard of care mandated by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. Bamboo Nutrition holds all boundaries of respect, safety and professionalism and ensures prompt communication, within 24-48 business hours.
